Takt Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 12, 2026

This policy applies to the app Takt – Projekte mit KI managen for iPhone and iPad. In short: Takt has no account, no sign-in, no ads, no tracking and no server of its own. Your content lives only in your private iCloud. As the developer, I have no access to it.

It complements the general privacy policy for davedinapoli.de.

2. What Takt does not do

  • no account, no sign-in, no registration
  • no ads, no advertising identifiers
  • no tracking, no third-party analytics or crash SDKs
  • no server of its own: I run no backend that your data passes through
  • no selling or sharing of data

3. Where your content is stored

Everything you create in Takt — entries, tasks, projects, notes, photos, PDFs and scanned letters — is stored on your device and in your private iCloud, exclusively in the private CloudKit database of your Apple Account. Photos, PDFs and scans are stored there as attachments to their entries and tasks. That is how your content shows up on every device signed in with the same Apple Account.

The private CloudKit database can only be read by you. As the developer, I can neither see nor retrieve this data. Storage is provided by Apple under your iCloud terms; Apple’s privacy policy applies.

4. Text recognition and AI suggestions

When you scan a letter or add a photo or PDF, Takt recognizes the text with Apple’s text recognition on your device.

AI suggestions (for example a project, a due date or a title for an entry) are created with Apple Intelligence (Foundation Models) on your device only. No content is sent to me or to any AI provider. Suggestions only take effect once you accept them. Without Apple Intelligence, Takt offers no AI suggestions.

5. Voice input

When you dictate an entry, Apple’s speech recognition turns your speech into text. Depending on device and language this happens on the device or via Apple’s servers. Takt stores no audio; only the resulting text is saved in your iCloud.

6. Permissions

Takt only asks for a permission when you use the matching feature:

  • Camera — to scan letters and attach photos to entries or tasks.
  • Photos — to pick existing images.
  • Microphone and speech recognition — for dictation.
  • Notifications — to remind you of due dates and things waiting for you.

You can revoke any permission at any time in your device’s Settings under “Takt”. All other features keep working.

7. Notifications

Notifications are delivered by Apple via the Apple Push Notification service or iCloud. I run no service of my own for this and store no device identifiers.

8. Deleting your data

  • Delete single entries, tasks, projects and attachments right in the app.
  • Delete all Takt data in iCloud in your device’s Settings under “[your name] › iCloud › Manage Storage › Takt”.
  • If you delete the app, the data stays in iCloud until you remove it there.

9. Legal basis

Where personal data is processed at all, this is done to provide the features you use (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). There is no profiling and no advertising.

10. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Since I store no data about you, all content stays in your hands and in your iCloud. I am happy to answer questions at info@davedinapoli.de.

You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; the competent one is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.

11. Changes

If the app changes in a way that affects privacy, I will update this policy. The current version is always available at this address; the date above shows when it was last updated.
